It isn’t done

February 27 marks the two-year anniversary of Four Day Weekend’s run in Fort Worth. As part of its PR effort, we at FW Weekly received the photo you see here along with a ransom note threatening to kill one hostage a day unless their demands were met. To this rather unorthodox publicity stunt, Eight Days would like to respond: Really, gentlemen, was this necessary? This comedy troupe has quietly become almost as much of a Fort Worth institution as the inhabitants of Tuna, Texas. The anniversary show will add on third part in which audience members can request their favorite comedy bits from years past. The evening promises to be a hoot. Sending us this poor man’s severed finger wrapped in a napkin in an attempt to draw some attention to the event was quite uncalled-for. In fact, it was downright uncouth. We at FW Weekly are appalled at this unseemly breach of decorum. After all, some things simply aren’t done.

Four Day Weekend anniversary show – 9pm, Feb 27 – Caravan of Dreams, 312 Houston St, FW - $6 – 226-4329
