Fans of improv should enjoy Four Day Weekend event

The improv comedy and music troupe Four Day Weekend will celebrate its fourth anniversary of performing at Caravan of Dreams in Forth Worth Saturday at 9 p.m. with a special performance and post-show world premiere of the short film Burning the Grump. Made by Four Day members, it’s about three would-be movie makers who try to take a meeting with a famous actress and end up taking her hostage.

Four Day Weekend includes Oliver Tull, Troy Grant, Dave Ahearn, David Wilk, Frank Ford, Wayne Niemi and J. Paul Slavens (of Ten Hands Fame, for local music fans). Tickets to the performance-plus-film are $15. Regular shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 9 p.m., with $10 and $12 admission, respectively.

The group performs its sketches and songs based on audience suggestions in the upstairs theater at Caravan of Dreams, 312 Houston St., located on Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth. Call 817-226-4329. For more information, tickets by email and a look at one of the troupe’s live broadcast on Yahoo.com, visit www.fourdayweekend.com.
